Marni is a writer primarily, a director more recently and a producer by necessity. Her love of comedy writing lead her to begin the exciting (read poor) process that is web series and short film creation. In 2017 she penned Early Retirement with Kate Fox under Little Fox Productions and shot a pilot in Hobart, Tasmania that is currently in pre-production to shoot in 2020. At the end of 2017 she created a pitch series called Adult Conversations and produced it with Christine Milo in Brisbane, the show is currently in pre-production stages to shoot in 2020 in the Gold Coast. In 2018 she again worked with Christine to produce The Team, a short film that became a pitch pilot and is currently being written into an eight-episode webs series by the duo. At the end of 2018 she wrote Valentine's Day, a co-pro between Marni and Christine for A Little Shaw and Hired Goons from Brisbane. The film went on to feature in over 20 festivals and took out several awards, including International film Peoples Choice in the Hollywood Short and Sweet Festival. She also made the shorts Not Religiously and #BLESSED this year with India Barry and they are both currently in post production.
Christine is an actor by trade but a slashie…well by necessity. The QUT graduate’s debut short film überrich was born out of pure frustration. Writing, directing, producing and staring in the comedy short, it was shortlisted for Tropfest and the Stellar Short Film Festival in 2017.
überrich went on to win two awards at the Shorts in Paradise Festival (SIPFEST) including People’s Choice. Christine was then nominated for Best Young Filmmaker at the Noosa International Film Festival and accepted into Cinefest Oz and the Sydney Indie Film Festival.
She has since worked in a producer role for projects including Skin Like Bark, The Team, and award winner Valentine’s Day.
Christine can be seen acting in Australian comedy television series Stage Mums.
